Welcome
Welcome- We're really glad you're here.
This page exists so you don't have to hold everything in your head or worry about "getting it right". You don't need to prepare perfectly, feel confident already, or know how to pose. That's our job.
Nothing on this page is urgent. Take your time, come back whenever you need, know that you're doing enough just by showing up.
What To Expect- Before your shoot
Once your date is confirmed, you can start to think about what you would like to bring. We suggest 3-4 outfits if you're doing a full session with us. You may want to start more clothed and work your way down with your comfort levels. You’ll receive gentle preparation guidance via email, and you’re always welcome to ask questions. Feel free to get a Pinterest board together or ask us about any ideas that you have to personalise your session.

On the Day
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, private studio space. We will have a look through your outfits and get you a drink.
Hair and makeup is included with your session. It is optional, collaborative and affirming - nothing is imposed, and we’ll check in with you throughout. The session is unrushed and you are never expected to perform. We don't expect you to already be confident and we guide you through everything at your own pace, posing you and checking in.
After the Shoot
After your session, you’ll be invited to your reveal and ordering appointment. Here we will go through your images, take out any that you don't love and guide you through choosing images and products that feel right for you. There’s no pressure or hard sell. We have options to suit every budget and payment plans are available. If you choose a payment plan, your first payment will be due on day of ordering.
If your session includes a printing credit, this can be used towards anything at your viewing, including digitals. Most people use it towards a bundle, this is the best value for money.

If you would like to convert your shoot to a couples session, please let us know ahead of time.
Diversity & Inclusion
Empowered Boudoir is a deliberately inclusive space.
We welcome and celebrate people of all genders, bodies, sizes, sexualities, races, ages, abilities, and backgrounds. This includes trans, non-binary, gender-questioning, disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill clients.
You do not need to explain or justify who you are here.
Your name, pronouns, boundaries, access needs, and comfort levels are respected at every stage of the experience. We photograph collaboratively and check in often, because feeling safe matters more than any image.
If you have specific needs - physical, sensory, emotional, or otherwise -you’re always welcome to share them in advance or on the day. We’ll do our best to accommodate without making it a “thing.”

Boundaries
Empowered Boudoir is a body-positive, confidence-focused photography space.
While boudoir can include varying levels of nudity, all sessions remain within our clearly defined professional boundaries. We do not photograph explicit sexual acts, fetish content, or kink scenes.
This includes (but isn’t limited to):
-
Sexual acts or simulations
-
Explicit genital focus intended to be pornographic
-
Fetishwear or scenarios created specifically for kink content
-
Power-exchange dynamics that go beyond aesthetic posing

Sharing Images
Your images belong to you.
How, or if, you choose to share them is completely up to you. Some clients share their images proudly, some keep them private, and many change their minds over time. All of those choices are valid.
We will never share your images publicly without your clear, informed consent.
If you do choose to allow us to share certain images:
-
You can choose which images
-
You can set boundaries around where they are shared
-
You can change your mind in the future
Your decision will never affect the care, attention, or experience you receive.
If you are unsure, it is always okay to say no. Consent is not a one-time thing, and there is no expectation to decide immediately.
This is your body, your story, and your call.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that life happens and plans sometimes need to change.
If you need to reschedule your session, please let us know as soon as possible. We are always happy to move your date with reasonable notice, subject to availability.
Your session fee is non-refundable, as your booking reserves dedicated time, preparation, and resources for you. However, with sufficient notice, your fee can be transferred to a new date.
Cancellations made at short notice or failure to attend your session may result in the loss of your session fee.
If something unexpected or difficult comes up, please reach out. We aim to handle changes with fairness, care, and clear communication wherever possible.
Retouching
All final images are professionally edited in our signature style. This includes colour grading, light retouching, and polishing so your images feel cohesive, intentional, and true to our work.
Our approach to retouching is affirming, not altering.
We do not change body shape, size, or features as standard, and we do not retouch in a way that removes or erases your identity. Skin texture, stretch marks, scars, hair, and other natural features are part of who you are and are respected in the editing process.
That said, retouching is collaborative.
If there is something specific you would like adjusted, you are welcome to ask. We are always open to conversations around comfort, dysphoria, or personal preferences, and we will do our best to accommodate requests that align with our values and style.
You will never be pressured into accepting edits that do not feel like you.
